About Me
My name is Erin and I am so grateful to be a part of your journey. I knew from a very young age that I was able to easily connect with others and form trusting relationships. I have always loved meeting people and learning about their lives. Being trusted with a client’s personal experience is the most rewarding aspect of my role as a therapist. I have experienced grief and loss in my own life, which has provided an unexpected expertise in the grieving and healing process. I am passionate about helping individuals get to the other side of their challenges and move forward with strength, consistency and resilience.
My Experience & Expertise
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker certified by the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California. I attended University of Maryland, College Park for my undergraduate degree and the University of Southern California for my master’s degree.
I have been providing therapy since 2007 and have experience in individual, group, family and couple’s therapy. I have worked in numerous areas including Adolescent Dual Diagnosis Programs (Fred Finch Youth Center), San Diego Unified School District, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Scripps Health, and most recently Stanford Health Care at Qualcomm.
Work Stress Management
In the last 4 and a half years I was lucky enough to work closely with Qualcomm Employees, specifically engineers and executives. In this role, I focused on helping patients improve work/life balance, increase boundaries, and avoid burnout (or recover from burnout). I also educated large swaths of employees about relevant topics such as work stressors, personal stressors, the pandemic, grief and loss, and burnout. I continue to enjoy working with individuals in attaining work/life balance.
Pet Loss
The loss of a pet can be one of the most difficult things we experience as human beings. As not everyone understands, our pets are our children, our buddies and our partners in crime. When they pass away, we move through every stage of grief and loss, as we would with any family member. The loss of a pet is also a different kind of loss because the relationship is not complicated. They love us, snuggle us, keep us company, and only want to make us happy – it’s their whole life and job. So, when we experience this loss, it can be gutting. I am a fur mom of two dogs and know this depth of love firsthand. I am happy to be a support in honoring, grieving, and memorializing the lives of our lost and very loved pets.
